Dopo aver pubblicato un post su di lei e il suo progetto ad agosto, Anna ed io abbiamo iniziato a parlare e abbiamo deciso di collaborare su una nuova rubrica per il website Studentessa Matta in cui Anna racconterà aneddoti e curiosità della sua amata città Venezia! Nel suo primo guest post, lei fa una presentazione per conoscerla meglio. Ecco Anna!
I am very happy to present Anna who directs the podcast Una Storia ItaliAnna. After publishing a post about her and her project in August, Anna and I started talking and we decided to collaborate on a new column for the Matta website in which Anna will tell anecdotes and curiosities of her beloved city of Venice! In her first guest post, she makes a presentation to get to know her better.

Ciao a tutti, mi presento! Sono Anna e sono un’insegnante di italiano per stranieri e la presentatrice del podcast Una Storia ItaliAnna dedicato alla cultura e alla lingua italiana. Vivo in Italia, a Venezia, con la mia famiglia e sono un’appassionata di cultura, tecnologia e viaggi. Cosa ci faccio qui? Ho conosciuto Melissa, la Studentessa Matta, online ed è nata una collaborazione per il suo blog. Con ogni post vi porterò con me alla scoperta di Venezia, la città dove sono nata e che amo profondamente.
Hello everyone, let me introduce myself! I am Anna, a teacher of Italian language and culture to foreigners and the host of the podcast Una Storia ItaliAnna dedicated to Italian language and culture. I live in Italy, in Venice, with my family and I’m a fan of culture, technology and travel. What am I doing here? I met Melissa, the Studentessa Matta, online and a collaboration was born for her blog. With each post I will take you with me to discover Venice, the city where I was born and that I love deeply.
La mia famiglia ha origini veneziane da sempre, siamo veneziani al 100%. Ho sempre pensato alla città di Venezia come ad una perla d’Italia, una città che tutti, almeno una volta nella vita, dovrebbero vedere e capire. Mi rendo conto che per capire Venezia ci vorrebbero mesi, forse anni, ma graffiare la sua superficie di città d’arte in costante e precario equilibrio è già qualcosa.
My family’s origin is Venetian, we are 100% Venetian. I have always thought of the city of Venice as a pearl of Italy, a city that everyone, at least once in their life, should see and understand. I realize that to understand Venice would take months, maybe years, but scratching its surface as a city of art in constant and precarious balance is already something.
Ogni post sarà dedicato ad un argomento culturale su Venezia, le sue celebrazioni, le sue tradizioni, usi e costumi. Aggiungeremo una tessera del puzzle ogni volta costruendo una conoscenza via via più profonda della città, dei suoi monumenti e delle sue vie note e meno note. Un fotogramma di parole per immortalare la bellezza che Venezia ci regala ad ogni angolo nell’attesa di poterla scoprire con i nostri occhi.
Each post will be dedicated to a cultural topic on Venice, its celebrations, its traditions, habits and customs. We will add a piece of the puzzle each time building a deeper knowledge of the city, its monuments and its known and lesser-known streets. A frame of words to capture the beauty that Venice gives us at every corner waiting to discover it with our own eyes.
