Novità!! Sono lieta di annunciare una nuova “Matta” vacanza di studio a Roma! Il prossimo luglio 5-14, Kelly Medford, un’artista americana che abita a Roma e io collaboreremo su un programma: “To Rome with Love with Kelly & Melissa” un programma di Lingua & Arte. La mattina studieremo la lingua nella mattina e poi il pomeriggio impareremo a disegnare. Il programma è perfetto per coloro che vogliono imparare l’italiano in un atmosfera accogliente e amichevole e che desiderano scoprire il loro “artista interiore”. Alloggeremo nel centro storico e oltre alle lezioni ci saranno gite organizzate per Roma per scoprire l’arte e l’archeologia con guida professioniste . Ci saranno anche serate e cene organizzate come andare a Frescati sulle colline di Roma per un picnic, o al cinema all’aperto sull’isola di Tiberina per guardare un film. Balleremo ai concerti gratis nel parco e incontreremo tanti amici romani per prendere aperitivi, chiacchierare e cenare insieme. Trascorreremo l’inizio dell’estate nella città Eterna come fanno i romani!
New News! I am happy to announce a new “Matta” language vacation in Rome, Italy! Next July 5-14, Kelly Medford, an American artist living in Rome and I are collaborating on “To Rome with Love with Kelly & Melissa” a Language and Art program. We will study Italian language in the morning a learn to draw and paint in the afternoon. The program is perfect for those who want to learn Italian in a warm a friendly environment AND who wish to discover their “inner artist”. We will stay in the heart of historic Rome and in addition to language and art lessons there will be professionally guided Art & Archeological tours of the city. There will also be organized evening events and dinners like going to Frescati in the hills of Rome for a picnic o to Tiburtina island to the open air theater to watch an Italian movie. We will dance in concerts in the park, meet up with roman friends for to have an aperitivo, chat and dine together. We will spend the beginning of the summer in the Eternal City like typical Romans!
La mia socia Kelly Medford è specializzata in pittura all’aperto. Si è trasferita a Roma nel 2010 e da allora tutti i giorni, in tutta l’Italia posiziona il suo cavalletto sulle strade, nei parchi e nelle piazze dove si può catturare la vita quotidiana italiana. Adesso organizza seminari per aiutare gli altri a vedere Roma con gli occhi di un artista. Per frequentare uno dei seminari di Kelly non è necessario essere già un artista. Basta solo il desiderio di provare.
My partner Kelly Medford specializes in outdoor Plein air painting. She moved to Rome in 2010 and since then every day, all over Italy she sets up her easel in the streets, parks, and piazzas where she captures a slice of Italian life. She now organizes seminars to help others see Rome through the eyes of an artist. To take one of Kelly’s seminars it is not necessary to be an artist – yet! You just need to have the willingness to try.
Oltre a collaborare con Kelly, collaboro anche con Professore Roberto Tartaglione, il direttore della Scudit, Scuola d’Italiano che è un esperto nell’insegnamento della lingua italiana agli stranieri. Durante la settimana facciamo lezioni presso la scuola che lui ha fondato più di vent’anni fa, che si trova nella zona di San Giovanni in Laterano. Roberto fa anche i video “Grammatica Caffè” che si possono trovare sul canale Alma.tv, in cui spiega un punto di grammatica nel tempo che ci vuole per preparare un espresso! Troverete alcuni video al fondo alla pagina. Sono molto divertenti e penso che vi piacerebbe studiare con Roberto e i suoi bravi insegnanti a Scud’it a Roma con noi.
Along with Kelly, I am collaborating with Professor Roberto Tartaglione, the director of the school Scudit, Scuola d’Italiano, and an expert in teaching Italian to foreigners. During the week we will take Italian lessons at the school that he founded over twenty years ago, located in the area of S. Giovanni Laterano. Roberto also produces the video “Grammatica Caffè” which can be found on Alma.tv, in which he explains a grammar point in the time it takes to prepare an espresso! The videos are delightful and I think you will like them as much as studying with Roberto and his teachers at Scud’It in Rome with us.

Ecco un video che mi piace molto! La lingua del fare e la lingua dell’essere: La lingua italiana ha un’anima? Difficile rispondere a questa domanda, ma il professor Tartaglione ci suggerisce che forse gli italiani hanno voluto mettere l’anima alla loro lingua per mezzo dei… verbi pronominali. Vedere per credere.
