Per ora i piani di viaggio in Italia sono sospesi e restiamo a casa osservando le nuove regole nella Speranza di porre fine rapidamente all’epidemia. Tutti noi stiamo prendendo le giuste precauzioni, ma ancora, i miei umori rimbalzano parecchio in questi giorni e non vedo l’ora di tornare in Italia.
For now, travel plans to Italy are put on hold and we are staying at home observing the new rules hoping to end the epidemic quickly. We are all taking the right precautions, but still, my moods bounce around quite a lot these days and I can’t wait to return to Italy.
Alcuni giorni sono triste, spaventata e infastidita e altri giorni sono felice, positive e fiduciosa che tornerò in Italia in autunno e a settembre sarò con un novo Gruppo di student a Lucca in bicicletta sulle sue mura medievali. Non vedo l’ora di tornare di nuovo “a casa” ad Arezzo per abbracciare tutti miei amici che vivono e lavorano lì.
Some days I’m sad, fearful, and annoyed, and other days I’m happy, positive, and hopeful I will return to Italy in the fall, and in September I will be with a new group of students in Lucca biking its medieval walls. I’m also looking forward to returning home once again to Arezzo to embrace all my friends who live and work there.
Per tenermi occupata in questi giorni, sto leggendo — scavando libiri preferiti e tuffandomi in storie che mi trasportano in Italia. Se non riesco a salire su un aereo, sto volando lì attraverso le pagine di un libro.
To keep myself busy these days, I’m reading – digging out favorite books and diving into stories that transport me to Italy. If I can’t get on a plane, I am flying there through the pages of a book.

Di recente, la mia cara amica Lucia Bernini, attrice Italiana di talento, che ha letto brani del mio libro durante la sua presentazione ad Arezzo lo scorso settembre, ha trascorso il suo tempo in quarantena a leggere l’intero romanzo. È stata così gentile da inviarmi alcune modifiche, correggendo alcune parole e preposizione qua e là. La scorsa settimana ho pubblicato di nuovo la versione italiana e ora è la versione più attuale e aggiornata e disponibile su Amazon.
Recently, my good friend Lucia Bernini, a talented Italian actress, who read passages from my book during its presentation in Arezzo last September, spent her time in quarantine reading through the entire novel. She was kind enough to send me a few edits, correcting a few words and prepositions here and there. Last week I released the Italian version of Isabella again and now the most current and up to date version is available on Amazon.
