Siete mai andati nelle Marche? È un paese favoloso. Alcuni anni fa ho organizzato un programma per studiare nelle Marche nella villa di Luisa Donati a Mercatello sul Metauro. Adesso Luisa ha un nuovo programma di cucina e benessere che sta offrendo gli ospiti nell’estate 2017. Le ho invitato di scrivere un guest post per spiegare meglio la sua nuova iniziativa. Forse uno dei lettori del blog potrebbe essere interessato a partecipare nel programma di cucina nelle Marche a Mercatello sul Metauro.

Have you ever gone to the Marches? It’s a fabulous place. A few years ago I organized a language program to study in nelle Marche in the villa of Luisa Donati in Mercatello sul Metauro. Luisa has a new wellness and cooking program that she is offering to guests for the summer of 2017. I invited her to write a guest post for the Matta Blog to better explain her new initiative. Perhaps one of the Matta readers might be interested in taking a cooking class nelle Marche in Mercatello sul Metauro.

Le parole di Luisa Donati – In Luisa’s words

Mercatello si trova ai piedi dell’Appennino, in corrispondenza della toscana Sansepolcro, a 40 km da Urbino, nelle terre di Piero della Francesca.

You can find Mercatello at the foot of the Apennine mountains, near Sansepolcro in Tuscany, and about 40 km from Urbino nelle Marche, in the land of the artist Piero Della Francesca.

E’ un posto davvero speciale, in un Italia meno conosciuta, dove si fa il bagno nel fiume, si fa ancora il carbone con le cataste di legna, e con 5 euro si comprano due Spritz.

It is a very special place. It is a part of Italy that is lesser known, where you can bath in the rivers, where they still make coal from wood chips, and with five Euro you can buy two Spritz.

A Mercatello abbiamo un Palazzo proprio nella Piazza principale del paese, con un grande giardino sul retro, camino e forno a legna.

In Mercatello we have a Palazzo, it is our home, right in the middle of town on the main piazza. It has a big garden in the back and wood-burning fireplaces.

Da quest’anno, oltre alla possibilità di passarci splendide vacanze affittandolo, offriamo ai nostri ospiti settimane a tema dove aggiungere alla vacanza turistica un’attività specifica.

This year, in addition to spending a wonderful holiday renting our Palazzo, we are offering to guests special themed activity weeks.

Nell’Estate 2017 parte ABC (Avventura, Benessere e Cucina) una settimana, dove io curo l’aspetto ‘’ turismo locale’’ , e Jenny Sugar, Wellness Coach diplomata, alla scoperta della cucina Vegana e integrale e del rapporto tra cibo e salute.

During the summer of 2017, as a part of ABC ventures (Avventura, Benessere e Cucina – Adventures in Wellnessa and Cooking) I will be partnering with Jenny Sugar, a Wellness Coach and together we will be exploring vegan and whole foods and the relationship between food and health.

Questo programma si intreccerà con visite ed incontri nelle terre del Metauro, con artigiani, artisti e anche gente normale, che però oggi è ,secondo me, eccezionale. E ci sarà spazio anche per un po’ di Yoga e belle camminate.

This program will incorporate visits to nearby artisans, artists, and local farmers near to Metauro. These local enterprises have been maintaining traditional methods of their crafts and farming methods, in my opinion, are exceptional even today. There will also be time for Yoga and lovely walks in the countryside.
