Ieri sera mentre stavo scorrendo la bacheca di Facebook mi sono incuriosita da un paio di video che ho trovato sul sito di RepubblicaTV. Mi sono incollata a un video di tre minuti chiamato “Il primo bacio: a Torino i baci sono veri”. A quanto pare, alcuni giorni fa c’era un video girata da Tatia Pileva in cui ha ripreso un gruppo di “sconosciuti” che si baciavano per la prima volta. Ma questi stranieri si rivelarono come modelli e attori assunti. Quando Farhad Allesandro Mohammadi da Torino l’ha scoperto, è stato molto deluso. Così ha saltato un giorno di lavoro e con un paio di amici, è sceso per strada a Torino e ha selezionato in modo casuale delle coppie estranei per partecipare al suo video del primo bacio che ha chiamato “Imperfetti Sconosciuti”.
Last night as I was scrolling through my Facebook feed I got seriously distracted by a couple of videos on the Repubblica TV site. I got hooked by a 3-minute video called “First Kiss: in Turin the kisses are real”. Apparently, a few days ago there was a video made by the filmmaker Tatia Pileva, in which she organized and filmed a group of strangers kissing for the first time. But these strangers turned out to be hired, models and actors. When Farhad Alessandro Mohammadi from Turin discovered this he was greatly disillusioned. So he skipped a day of work and with a couple of friends, went into the streets of Turin and randomly selected complete strangers to partake in his version of the first kiss which he calls “Imperfetti Sconosciuti/Imperfect Strangers”.
Mi è piaciuto guardare il breve filmato e leggere la recensione sul sito di RepubblicaTV. Oltre al fascino di guardare perfetti sconosciuti baciarsi per la prima volta, ho fatto un’altra scoperta interessante. Appena il filmato è finito, prima che potessi cliccare per lasciare il sito è cominciato un altro filmato e improvvisamente mi sono ritrovata a guardare un piccolo gatto che mangiava uno yogurt come un vero ghiottone. Il titolo del video era: “Colazione col gatto goloso di yogurt”. Ho pensato, chiunque guarda questo video e legge la parola “goloso” non dimenticherà mai il significato della parola! Subito dopo che il video era terminato, è iniziato un’altro video ed io ho cominciato a guardare un corteo di dignitari italiani in giro con bandiere, trombe e cappelli con il pennacchio per festeggiare la giornata dell’Unità Nazionale.
I enjoyed watching the brief film clip and reading the written recaps in Italian on the Repubblica TV site. Beyond the fascination of watching perfect strangers kiss for the first time, I made another interesting discovery. As soon as the clip ended before I could click away another mini-video started and I suddenly was watching a greedy little cat eating yogurt like a true glutton. The film’s title read: “ Breakfast with a greedy cat”. I thought to myself, anyone who watches this and reads the word “goloso” will never forget the meaning of that word again! After the cat video ended another quickly began and I was now watching a parade of Italian dignitaries running around with flags and blaring horns and hats adorned with feathers celebrating the giornata dell’Unità Nazionale.
Era così facile continuare a guardare tutti questi brevi video uno dopo l’altro e mi sono resa conto che così, in pochi minuti al giorno si può avere una lezione gratuita! È possibile imparare nuovi vocabolari e perfezionare la comprensione orale. I video sono brevi e non superare più di pochi minuti e quindi non possono annoiarti…ma nel caso ce ne uno noioso, basta fare solo un “clic” per vedere quello successivo! Buon click…e buoni baci!
It was so easy to keep watching all these short clips one after the other and I realized that in so doing for just a few minutes a day, you can have a FREE Italian lesson. You can pick up new vocabulary and perfect your listening comprehension. Best of all the videos are never more than 3 minutes so you can never get bored…and if you do, just click on the next one.
