Oggi vorrei parlarvi di Flash Sticks. È un modo fantastico per imparare una lingua straniera.
Today I want to talk to you about Flash Sticks. It is a great way to learn a foreign language.
La gente di FlashSticks ha avuto quest’idea geniale e unica per aiutare gli studenti con l’apprendimento di una lingua straniera. Si tratta di un sistema di post-it note su cui sono già stampati parole e frasi pronte all’uso appena il pacchetto è aperto. Ogni nota è di un colore specifico per aiutarvi imparare le varie parte della grammatica. Per esempio, rosa per i nomi femminili, blu per nomi maschili, verdi per i verbi.
The folks over at FlashSticks had this great idea to help students with learning a new language. It involves a system of post-it notes on which are already printed words and phrases ready to use right out of the package. Each note is a specific color to help you learn various parts of grammar. Per instance, pink is for female nouns, blue is for masculine nouns and green is for verbs or adjectives.
Potete attaccare le note dappertutto in casa o in ufficio. Potete riempire tutto il vostro ambiente con le note per aiutarvi a ricordare le nuove parole straniere.
You can post your notes everywhere around the house or in your office. You can fill your entire living space with notes to help you remember new foreign words.

Quello che mi piace di più di questa applicazione è che posso anche fare una foto di qualsiasi cosa con il cellulare e FlashSticks offrirà una traduzione con un audio clip, per aiutarmi con la pronuncia. Guardate! Ho scattato una foto della mia cane Moka, e nel giro di pochi secondi FlashSticks mi aveva detto che la foto era di un cane…in particolare, un tricolore Beagle. Scommetto che la prossima versione dell’app mi dirò il suo proprio nome!
What I love even more about this app, is that I can take a picture of anything with my phone and FlashSticks offers up a written translation with an audio clip, to help me with pronunciation. Look! I took a picture of my dog Moka, and within just a few seconds FlashSticks told me that the photo was of a dog…specifically a Beagle. I bet the next version of the app will even tell me her name!

Penso che vi divertirete con questa applicazione. Aiuterà ad aumentare il vostro vocabolario, aiutandovi a pronunciare bene le parole. Vedere le parole, creare una associazione con l’immagine e poi sentire l’audio, permetterà al vostro cervello di memorizzare più facilmente le nuove informazioni. Credo che gli aggettivi e le descrizione che l’applicazione fornisce, siano anche molto informativi.
I think you will have some fun with this app. It will boost your spoken foreign language vocabulary by helping you to pronounce words correctly. By seeing a word, creating an association with the icon, and then hearing the word, your brain will retain information more easily. I think the adjectives and extra descriptive text that the app provides are also informative as well.
