Oggi un’amica mi ha aggiornato che nel mondo esiste un gioco da tavolo di Dylan Dog! Caspita! Una scoperta divertente, visto che ho letto tanti dei fumetti di Tiziano Sclavi, che raccontano attraverso illustrazioni e didascalie il mondo misterioso di Dylan Dog, il più celebre protagonista di una serie horror italiana. Un rapido sguardo al gioco mi dice che i giocatori di questo gioco da tavolo hanno obiettivi e le sfide da superare per risolvere i casi.

Today a friend let me know that there exists out there in the world a Dylan Dog board game. Wow, kind of fun to know since I have read many of the comic books by Tiziano Sclavi which tell through illustrations & captions, the mysterious world of Dylan Dog, one of the most famous characters of the Italian comic book horror genre. A cursory look at the game tells me that players of this board game have objectives and challenges to overcome to resolve cases.

Devono attraversare le varie dimensioni dell’inconscio sopravvivendo attacchi da parte di mostri da incubo e altre creature di notte. Contenuto nella scatola ci sono: 1 piano di gioco a 3 dimensioni, 4 cripte, 1 dado, 5 pedine indagatore, 24 carte racconto, 24 arte misterio, 55 carte incubo, 12 carte horror, 6 carte Dylan Dog e 1 libretto di istruzioni. Dopo aver letto il contenuto del gioco mi sembra che il libretto sarà molto utile è sarà ben usato!

They must pass through various dimensions of unconsciousness, surviving attacks by nightmarish monsters and other creatures of the night. Contained in the box are: 1 playing board of 3 dimensions, 4 crypts, 1 die, 5 junior detectives, 24 story cards, 24 mystery cards, 55 nightmare cards, 12 horror cards, 6 Dylan Dog cards, and 1 book of instructions. After reading the contents of the game, it seems to me that the book of instructions will come in very handy and will be used often!

Sembrava abbastanza interessante, ma in questo mondo di tecnologia avanzata a me un gioco da tavolo a me sembra un po’ antiquato. Mi ha fatto domandare se esisteva un nuovo gioco di Dylan Dog fatto per il mondo di iPhone e iPad. Questo pensiero mi aveva correre al negozio di App per dare un’occhiata alla selezione dei giochi per vedere se davvero ci fosse una nuova versione del gioco. Purtroppo non l’ho trovato. Ma ho scoperto che Rai Radio 2 ha un Podcast di Dylan Dog! La mia caccia non è stata in vana. In realtà ne è valsa la pena a trovare i podcast che durano 10 o 12 minuti, in cui sono evidenziate le storie misteriose di Dylan Dog. Se siete interessati ad altri audio fumetti, Rai Radio 2 ha anche podcast di Tex e Diabolik. Preparate di entrare il mondo dei incubi armati solo di iPod e le cuffie!

This is all well and good, but the board game also seemed to be a game a bit antiquated in this world of advanced technology. Which got me to thinking “perhaps there is a new Dylan Dog game made for the world of iphones and ipads. This thought had me running to the App store to take a look around the game selections to see if there really was a newer version of a Dylan Dog game. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it, but I did discover that Rai Radio 2 has a Podcast of Dylan Dog! My hunt was not in vain. In fact, it was worth the effort to find podcasts that last 10 to 12 minutes in which are highlighted stories of the mysterious Dylan Dog. If you are interested in other audio comics, Rai Radio 2 has other podcasts of Tex and Diabolik. Prepare to enter the world of nightmares armed with only an iPod and a pair of headphones!
