2022 is in full swing by now and so should your Italian studies! There are so many choices for studying Italian online these days and Cultura Italiana Arezzo is at the top of my list because it offers some really interesting options: Advanced Reading Courses, Conversation Courses, Learn Italian through Opera, and even a Small Group Immersion Program at the school with me!!

In fact, recently I communicated with Paola Testi, the director of Cultura Italiana Arezzo, and she told me about the great new lineup of online courses they are now offering. There is something for language learners of all levels and interests—for groups and individual study.

It was 1946 when Amerigo left his district of Naples and got on a train. Together with thousands of other southern children, he will cross the entire peninsula and spend a few months in a northern family; an initiative of the Communist Party to rescue the little ones from misery after the last conflict. È il 1946 quando Amerigo lascia il suo rione di Napoli e sale su un treno. Assieme a migliaia di altri bambini meridionali attraverserà l’intera penisola e trascorrerà alcuni mesi in una famiglia del Nord; un’iniziativa del Partito comunista per strappare i piccoli alla miseria dopo l’ultimo conflitto. Con lo stupore dei suoi sette anni e il piglio furbo di un bambino dei vicoli, Amerigo ci mostra un’Italia che si rialza dalla guerra come se la vedessimo per la prima volta. E ci affida la storia commovente di una separazione. Quel dolore originario cui non ci si può sottrarre, perché non c’è altro modo per crescere.

Program in Arezzo
Se vuoi venire con me ad Arezzo, per partecipare di persona a Cultura Italiana tornerò a giugno e insieme a Paola ed io guideremo il programma 2022 Matta “Andiamo” in Arezzo Language. Saremo in città per il festival della Giostra di giugno. Studieremo a scuola durante il nostro soggiorno, parteciperemo a molte attività divertenti e faremo escursioni nelle città vicine. È l’occasione perfetta per viaggiare e imparare l’italiano in Italia con persone che la pensano allo stesso modo e che condividono i tuoi interessi.
If you would like to come with me to Arezzo, to attend Cultura Italiana in person, I will be returning in June, and together Paola and I will host the 2022 Matta “Andiamo” in Arezzo Language program. We will be in town for the June Joust festival. We will study at the school during our stay, participate in lots of fun activities, and go on excursions to neighboring towns. It is the perfect opportunity to travel and learn Italian in Italy with like-minded individuals who share your interests.
