Wishing you lots of happiness. There are only six days left until Christmas. Are you all ready?
Ogni anno facciamo l’albero e il presepe. Decoriamo l’esterno della casa con le luci. Preparo tutti i dolci e i biscotti. Mangiamo molto, andiamo alle feste e ospitiamo anche tutti gli amici a casa nostra. La festa a casa mia è proprio stasera! Quindi non ho molto tempo da sprecare…devo scappare. Ho ancora molta da fare per organizzare e preparare per festa. Ma volevo passare dal blog per salutarvi. Nella mia tradizione, ogni anno io invio un biglietto natalizio agli amici per condividere con loro quanto i miei figli hanno cresciuto durante l’anno. È il mio modo per stare in contatto con tutte le persone importanti nella mia vita. Anche voi, i lettori del blog sono i miei amici…quindi volevo anche inviarvi la nostra cartolina!
Every year we put up a tree and build the manager scene. We decorate the outside of the house with lights. I make sweets and holiday cookies. We eat a lot, we go to parties and we host all of our friends at our house too. The party at my place is tonight! So, I don’t have a lot of time to waste…I must get a move on. I still have a lot to do to get ready for the party. But, I wanted to stop by the blog to say hi. It is one of my traditions to send out holiday cards to all my friends and share with them how much my kids have grown during the year. It is my way of staying in touch with the important people in my life. All you blog readers are also my friends…so I wanted to send you one of our cards!

When I was a kid, back in the Ice Age, all Italians were Catholic so, therefore we all abstained from eating meat the day before Christmas. My mother always made a special fish soup for that evening meal. We usually had the clan at our house so all of the aunts, uncles and cousins celebrated with us. We had a houseful, bursting at the seams. That was the night our tree was trimmed and the festivities began.
