Ho appena finite la produzione di tutti
e tre romanzi scritti da me, ambientati in Italia.
I just wrapped up production of all three
of my novels set in Italy! To celebrate I’m giving
away an Audiobook of Eternally Artemisia
Eternally Artemisia is NOW available
on Amazon, Audible, and Apple iBook.
The Audio versions of Dreaming Sophia and
Waking Isabella
are due out in just a couple of weeks.
To produce the AudioBooks, I worked with Amy Gordon, an actress from New York who read all three novels in English. I couldn’t be happier with her performance! She did a beautiful job bringing life to all my characters—giving each one personality, different voices and imbuing the Italian characters delightful accents.
The photos show Amy in her recording studio just after finishing recording Dreaming Sophia She was inspired by the character of Sophia to put on a fantastic hat with a plume.
Given that there are many Italian words mixed into the English text Amy even learned a bit of Italian during the recording sessions. I coached her on the Italian pronunciations and accents, sending her to Forvo.com occasionally to listen to the intonation of certain words. For example, at the beginning, she had a little difficulty pronouncing c’è and che.
In the novel Dreaming Sophia, (which will be available as an AudioBook at the end of September) which features many Italian songs, Amy in the Audio version delightfully sings the Italian melodies and even mimics the famous Italian ambulance sound! It is really adorable!

SPARKLING AND TRANSCENDENT: This is a well-written page-turner, a passionate, intense, and inspirational story. Love that it has strong female characters and that it isn’t the typical love story. If you enjoy Outlander or other historically-inclined novels, I highly recommend.

Synopsis
Eternally Artemisia – Some loves, like some women, are timeless
They say some loves travel through time and are fated to meet over and over again. For Maddie, an art therapist, who wrestles with the “peculiar feeling” she has lived previous lives and is being called to Italy by voices that have left imprints on her soul, this idea is intriguing. Despite her best efforts, however, proof of this has always eluded her. That is, until one illuminating summer in Italy when Maddie’s previous existences start to bleed through into her current reality. When she is introduced to the Crociani family—a noble clan with ties to the seventeenth-century Medici court that boasts of ancestors with colorful pasts—she finally meets the loves of her life. One is a romantic love, and another is a special kind of passion that only women share, strong amongst those who have suffered greatly yet have triumphed despite it. As Maddie’s relationship develops with Artemisia Gentileschi—an artist who in a time when it was unheard of to denounce a man for the crime of rape, did just that—Maddie discovers a kindred spirit and a role model, and just what women are capable of when united together. In a journey that arcs back to biblical days and moves forward in time, Maddie encounters artists, dukes, designers, and movie stars as well as baser and ignoble men. With Artemisia never far from her side, she proves that when we dare to take control of our lives and find the “thing” we are most passionate about, we are limitless and can touch the stars.
Why a wonderful contest! Something to remind us of beautiful Italy….
