Recentemente Alessandra mi ha scritto per dirmi la bellissima notizia del suo libro. Subito le ho chiesto di scrivere alcune righe sul suo progetto. Ecco Alessandra per parlare più del suo nuovo libro.

Recently Alessandra wrote to me to tell me the wonderful news of her book. Right away I asked her to write a few lines about her most recent project. Here is Alessandra to speak more about her new book.

Hi everyone, Do you remember me? I’m Alessandra Pasqui, Italian teacher and author of the podcast “Al Dente,” that is broadcast every two weeks on the PodClub 

Ormai sono sei anni che ho iniziato quest’avventura e scrivere così tanti testi è stata davvero una buona palestra anche per me. Infatti sono qui per darvi una notizia fresca fresca: è appena uscito il mio primo libro di letture per studenti (livello A1-A2): “Come hai detto che ti chiami?” presso Alma Edizioni, Firenze.

It’s been six years since I started this adventure, and writing so many podcasts has been a great way for me to flex my writing skills. In fact, I’m here to give you some breaking news: my first student reading book (Level A1-A2) has just been published. It is called “What did you say your name was?” published through Alma Edizioni, Firenze.

Questa, in breve, la storia,
che ha inizio con un equivoco sul maschile e il femminile
dei nomi:

This, briefly, is the story, which begins with a
misunderstanding about the masculine and feminine names.

Lui si chiama Andrea, vive a Como e studia tedesco; lei si chiama Simone, è di Stoccarda e studia italiano. Per praticare la lingua iniziano uno scambio di mail, ma Andrea pensa di scrivere a un altro ragazzo, Simone pensa di aver trovato un’amica italiana. Decidono di incontrarsi, sarà una sorpresa per tutti e due…!

Simone scoprirà molte cose sull’Italia e non solo…!

His name is Andrea, he lives in Como and is studying German; Her name is Simone, she is in Stuttgart and is studying Italian. To practice the language they start an exchange of mail, But Andrea thinks he is writing to another boy, Simone thinks she has found an Italian girlfriend. They decide to meet, it will be a surprise for them both…!

Simone will discover a lot about Italia and a lot more…!

Mi piace molto insegnare e scrivere è una vera passione: alcuni anni fa ho pubblicato un libro di poesie corredato da fotografie dei pozzi toscani della provincia di Siena; poi ho scritto due piccoli gialli ambientati nella campagna senese; e il prossimo progetto è un libro che ha come protagonista Alison, una ragazza americana che a Siena scopre l’amore per la lingua italiana, la cucina tradizionale “all’antica” e un misterioso uomo che sa fare un pane meraviglioso…

I really like teaching and writing is a real passion: a few years ago I published a book of poems accompanied by photographs of Tuscans wells in the province of Siena; then I wrote two little mysteries set in the Sienese countryside; and the next project is a book featuring Alison, an American girl who falls in love with the Italian language, traditional Italian cooking and a mysterious man who makes a wonderful kind of break.
